In Lubumbashi, unexpected power outages are among the daily challenges that many businesses face. For TMB, this situation was becoming increasingly problematic. Dependent on the power grid, the company regularly had to deal with unpredictable outages that could sometimes last for several weeks, creating constant uncertainty for its dedicated teams.
The question was no longer whether the power would go out, but rather how long the outage would last. Faced with this situation, TMB needed a solar solution capable of ensuring business continuity while reducing its dependence on the power grid.
An infrastructure designed for greater peace of mind
To address this energy challenge, GoShop Energy designed and deployed a custom hybrid solar solution, designed to ensure a reliable and continuous power supply.
The system is based on:
- A conversion capacity of 20 kVA;
A storage capacity of 35 kWh;
A 22.32 kWc solar power plant
This infrastructure combines performance, autonomy, and energy efficiency to effectively meet the company’s needs.
The system consists of:
2 Victron 48V/10,000VA/140A inverters ensuring optimal energy flow management;
36 620 Wp solar panels fully utilizing the available solar potential;
7 BYD LV 5.0 batteries guaranteeing an energy reserve even in the event of a grid outage

Thanks to this hybrid solar solution, the TMB extension in Lubumbashi now has a stable and reliable energy source, ensuring the continuity of its day-to-day operations.
