In the cities of Goma and Bukavu, intermittent access to electricity in many community centers disrupts social, educational, and spiritual activities. These regular interruptions do more than just cause power outages: they also entail significant financial costs (generators) and disrupt the harmony of gatherings, particularly in the evenings.
This energy instability is not merely a matter of lights going out. It places a heavy financial burden on communities forced to rely on expensive generators and disrupts the peaceful atmosphere essential for evening gatherings. For organizations dedicated to bringing people together and providing education, every outage becomes an obstacle.
Faced with this situation, GoShop has launched a project to assemble customized solar kits in our workshops. They will soon be deployed at 21 locations across the Democratic Republic of the Congo, consisting of:
- A 5.4 kWc solar system will be installed at each site,
- including a Multiplus II GX 48V/5000VA inverter,
- an MPPT 250/100 charge controller, and
- a storage system with a capacity of 15 kWh.
This option ensures a stable and sustainable power supply, which is essential for spiritual activities. Beyond its technical performance, this project illustrates GoShop’s commitment to providing sustainable solutions that transform the daily lives of communities.
Result
