In a context where access to energy is essential for development initiatives and humanitarian projects, GoShop Energy continues to play a key role.
The project to install 82 solar kits, led by Goshop in collaboration with SANRU ASBL, was designed to improve working conditions for staff in the central offices of health zones in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Thanks to this initiative, agencies in 8 provinces including Kinshasa, Kongo Central, Nord-Kivu, Ituri, Bas-Uele, Haut-Uele, Tshopo and Maniema now benefit from clean, reliable and sustainable energy sources. This is essential for proper functioning.
This initiative has not only transformed working conditions in the central offices of the health zones, but has also enabled local staff to manage their facilities autonomously and efficiently, thanks to training. Improved communications between SANRU's various branches across the country, thanks to solar power, have optimized the management and monitoring of health activities. Local teams now have continuous access to electricity, essential to their daily operations.
Thanks to our integrated logistics network and the presence of our technical teams throughout the country, GoShop Energy is able to intervene effectively even in the most isolated areas, from Bas-Uele to Maniema. This know-how was decisive in the success of the SANRU project, where we deployed 82 solar kits in eight provinces, often in hard-to-reach areas. Our ability to deliver, install and train on site, even in remote areas, makes us a reliable partner for projects with a high social impact.
The project was carried out in two phases:
First, the installation of 13 solar kits, followed by the installation of the remaining 69 kits. Each kit installed was designed to efficiently power the VSAT equipment and lighting at the centers, ensuring a stable connection and a conducive working environment.
The solar kits deployed for SANRU include:

Gosolar 1600W Solar Panels (4 x 400W panels): high-performance photovoltaic panels for optimal energy production, even in the most remote areas.

Victron 150/35 MPPT solar charge controller: maximizes solar system efficiency by regulating battery charging and optimizing solar energy conversion.

4 GoPower 12 V 220 AH Gel Batteries (Rack mount): efficient energy storage, enabling continuous power supply even without sunlight.

Victron Phoenix Inverter 48/1200 230 V VE.Direct SCHUKO converter: converts DC energy into AC energy to power office equipment. in the office.
Other equipment :
- DC distribution system and fuse
- Grounding system
- Metal structure of solar panels
- Wiring, switching and protection devices
These components were integrated to ensure maximum performance and continuous energy management to meet deadlines and guarantee system efficiency in each zone.
By guaranteeing reliable access to electricity, the project has changed the working conditions of SANRU's central health sector offices, located in remote and difficult areas. The offices now benefit from a clean, uninterrupted source of energy, helping to improve the efficiency of daily activities, as well as communication between SANRU's various branches in the DRC.
In addition to installation, GoShop has trained local staff in the use and maintenance of the solar systems. The aim was to enable them to ensure sustainable management and autonomy of the facilities, contributing to the sustainability of the project. The project also strengthens the capacity of local communities to manage solar energy, offering a solution to the country's specific energy challenges.
The plan to install 82 solar kits for SANRU is a success that combines environmental effects with social benefits, and means that access to clean energy promotes better management of medical activities and contributes to local development and self-reliance groups. This project illustrates GoShop's commitment to promoting renewable energies and its leading role in the transformation of energy in the DRC.
