In Africa, particularly in the DRC, the rapid deployment of renewable energies faces a major obstacle: the lack of qualified technicians. Sustainable development requires not only reliable equipment, but also a workforce capable of installing, maintaining and upgrading it.
In the DRC and the sub-region, demand for solar solutions is growing exponentially. However, access to specialized technical training adapted to the realities of the field is limited. In the absence of quality content and appropriate supervision, young graduates struggle to become professional: a hindrance to projects, a source of costly mistakes and slowed innovation.
Coaching and skills development

To counter this, GoShop Energy, through its GoShop Academy, offers an innovative teaching approach, combining theory, practice and personalized support. Its 10 technical modules, including training on Victron, Fronius, safety and GoPower Unity, prepare technicians to be autonomous and operational in the field, including two trainees who have become trainers. Over the past quarter, face-to-face and online training courses have been delivered by both in-house and external trainers, while guaranteeing a high level of quality. Over and above the skills acquired, each training course has a direct impact in terms of professional integration and skills upgrading (installation, assembly of solar kits, etc.), resulting in better implemented solar projects.
Face-to-face training
- Victron solar kit in Goma (45 participants)
- Two Go Solar cohorts with ACES (50 participants in total)
- A MasterClass at ULPGL (32 participants)
Online training
- Huawei: 36 participants
- Lorentz (cohorts 1 and 2): 67 participants
